Our morning and afternoon chores always start with fresh water in clean buckets. We keep the goat's water available to them in several locations. Since they eat and drink 24/7, we have water available to them both in their outside run, and also inside the barn. It's amazing to see how much they drink at night.
We keep a couple of fresh water buckets in the goat's outside run area. We clip them to the fence with a heavy carabiner clip to avoid spills.
The water buckets inside the barn are clipped to an eye hook with a carabiner clip to avoid spills. It's interesting to see how much the goats drink during the night. Especially on the warm summer nights.
When we have babies and small goats around, we use a shallow water dish in their pen. This way the babies and small kids cannot fall into a bucket and get stuck, and since it's low and shallow, they can easily get to the water.
