ABOUT US

BACK IN 1980

Back in 1980, I was a 4-H kid living on a 1 acre hobby farm. My parents had us raise, breed, milk and show French Alpine dairy goats. Our herd quickly grew into more French Alpines, Toggenburgs, and Nubian goats. Back then, we called our little farm “The funny Farm”.  Things were a whole lot different than today. I remember waiting every month for the next issue of "Dairy Goat Magazine" to come in the mail. It was our only source of information for raising goats since there was no such thing as the internet back then.

FAST FORWARD 40+ YEARS

Fast  forward 40+ years and here I am again raising and breeding goats, but on a whole new level with these amazing little Nigerian Dwarf and Mini-Nubian dairy goats. We had no idea they would become so popular. A part time little herd of quality goats has blossomed into a full time labor of love. Welcome to P&J's Looney Bin Farm. We are a migrating farm based out of  Naples, FL in the Winters and  Clyde, NC. in the Summers. Thank you for your interest in our goats, Pete Rapps

About The Farm

Baby Goats

Winter and Spring is our typical kidding season. We have a lot of babies being born and available to purchase then. We typically have wait lists for babies far in advance so be sure to contact us early to make a reservation.

Goat's Milk

Fresh raw goat's milk is produced daily each Spring and Summer. Much of our milk is used to feed bottle baby goats and to make cheeses & Greek style yogurt for our personal consumption. We also provide fresh and frozen goat milk for bottle feeding baby goats.

Cheese & Yogurt

Chevre cheese is our favorite to make. We make a lot of different flavors and "Everything bagel" is a favorite. Thick Greek style yogurt is also a house favorite. Our dairy products are for our own personal consumption.

Eggs

We have a variety of amazing chickens that produce an array of different colored eggs daily. No need to dye easter eggs here at the Looney Bin Farm.

Fruits

We grow a wide variety of fruits for our own personal consumption including several varieties of mangos, bananas, avocados, lychee, cherry, & more

Baby Chicks

We have a small flock of high quality chickens. The two main breeds here are Black Copper Marans and Cream Legbars. We do have hatchlings available on occasion.
